John Jebose, who appeared before City Court Chief Magistrate Rhodah Yator, pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of ksh 100,000. Or a bond of Ksh 200,000.
With the state not opposing bond or cash bail, the accused’s lawyer pleaded with the court to be lenient since he is a young Kenyan with humble means and has a place of aboard.
According to the Chargesheet, it is alleged that on diverse dates between 18th August 2025 and 1st September 2025 in Nairobi county with intend to defraud, you obtained a sum of four hundred and fifty thousand (ksh 450,000) from Josephine Dama Karisa by falsely pretending that you were in a position to over proffesional Barbar services at her Barbar Shop a fact you knew to be false.
The matter will now be mentioned on the 24th of September for pre-trial directions.
