He pretended to be in a position to sell the gold buyer 500 kilograms of gold nuggets valued at Sh 6,750,000.
He also allegedly told Mbulelo that he could sell him 500 kg of gold nuggets, even though he knew this was a lie, to trick him into giving him Sh 6.7 million.
Musilwa was released with either a Sh 1 million cash bail or a Sh 2 million bond.
The mention date is May 7, pending the pre-trial.
