Vincent Omondi Onyango, who is charged with stealing
A city businessman has been charged with stealing precious stones worth millions of shillings from two men last month, contrary to the law.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Vincent Omondi Onyango was charged with stealing three pieces of green garnet precious stones of 8.6 carats valued at Sh1,046,520, belonging to Duncan Muendo Wambua, after he used tricks.
According to the court papers, the accused person is alleged to have stolen the precious items at Westlands Square Art Café, in Nairobi, on August 14, 2025.
The court heard that Omondi was also charged with stealing one piece of ruby stone, 22 pieces of ruby stones, and 41 pieces of yellow sapphire stones, all valued at Sh 1,033,600, from Julius Ongoro Opiyo.
The charge sheet stated that he stole the gems on August 14, 2025, at Rosanto Restaurant along Kaunda Street in Nairobi County.
He, however, denied the charges when he appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi.
The court released him on a bond of Sh800,000.
