Today, H.E. Governor Fernandes Barasa graced the launch of the Butere Boys Secondary School Foundation History Book, a tribute to the school’s journey since its founding in 1964.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the school’s excellence, announcing plans to spearhead the construction of a modern dormitory and equip the computer lab with 50 new computers in the next financial year as part of the county government’s corporate social responsibility.

Governor Barasa urged the Butere Boys Alumni Association to document a second edition covering 1977 to date, building on the first production, which highlights the school’s history from 1964 to 1977.
He also noted that the consolidation of Butere Municipality is on course, with its first funding set for infrastructure projects. Additionally, he assured that the Butere Level IV Hospital will soon be commissioned.
Present were MCAs led by Majority Leader CPA Philip Maina, County Executive Members led by County Secretary Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka, and the school’s alumni and staff led by Principal Mr. Habil Malika.
